A reminder of what St. Francis said about the church as a place of welcome:  "Everyone, everyone, everyone, must be allowed in."

Sr. Jane Mary Sorosiak, Sylvania Franciscan, was a talented artist whose ceramic mural work is installed nationwide.  Sr. Jane was still creating beautiful works of art into her 90's, until her death in March, 2024.  Several other sisters who worked alongside her, continue to create tiles for the sister’s gift shop, thus her legacy lives on.  Sr. Jane once said, “What I love most about the Franciscans is the spirit of joy that they bring to service.  And I’d have to say gratitude.  I’m grateful that I’ve been able to bring joy to other’s with my work.”

The tiles are created one at a time so each tile is unique and there will be variations in the colors from the photos here.
